Michelle and Family

Family Portraits No Comments »

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Michelle and her lovely family.  It was a chilly day, but we all survived it, got some great photos, and had some fun at it.

Thank you and hope you have a great 2009!

Heidi and Brandon - The Engagement

Engagement Sessions No Comments »

I recently photographed Heidi and Brandon’s engagement portraits - and had a blast.  I met them through Stephanie and Derek who’s wedding I photographed in October.  When it came time to do the session, we met up at a Lupe Tortilla restaurant where we started with a drink and long conversation about the session and their upcoming wedding.  We then headed out to several locations throughout downtown Houston.

Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Guys, thanks a bunch for allowing me to tag along with you for the afternoon.  You were both a blast!

Leena and Asim - The Wedding

Weddings No Comments »

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Leena and Asim’s wedding ceremony - and let me tell you, it was fantastic.  The events started with the Raas Garba where everyone had a great time with the live music provided by Surbhi.

So, here are some photos…

The next day, it was the ceremony at the Marriott Westchase Houston (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/houwm-houston-marriott-westchase/).  The day started with Leena getting ready.

As she was getting ready, her mother walked in.

I asked Leena to show me where Asim’s name was hidden in the henna.

Makeup was BEAUTIFULLY done by Jeannie Tran of Blush Makeup Artistry (http://www.blushandco.com/).

Then on to the baraat where Asim rode in in style!

Leena’s mother welcomed him warmly.

Asim then patiently waited for Leena to make her grand entrance to start the marriage ceremony.

And there she was…

They exchanged garlands.

And the ceremony went on.

The beautiful madap was provided by Affair to Remember (www.eventscatered.com) and it truly was a thing of beauty - fully lit up with revolving columns!

Hands always tell so much of the story!

Then it was on to the reception.  Again, the decorations were provided by Affair to Remember (www.eventscatered.com) and the beautiful complementary accent lights AND GREAT MUSIC by DJ Yogi G (www.yogi-g.com) who always gets the party going.

The couple made their way in.

And enjoyed the program and speeches.

They then cut the cake.

Had their first dance as husband and wife.

And then the party started!

And the night came to an end…

My thanks to Leena and Asim for giving me the opportunity to share on their wedding day.  You two are great together!
