Malisha and Bhavesh - The Wedding

Indian Weddings, Weddings No Comments »

Here’s another wedding that I had the pleasure of helping my good friend Humza Yasin at a while back.  You may recall some of Malisha and Bhavesh’s engagement photos I had shared last year when Humza came down to Houston to shoot them.  It was a blast - and my first chance to work with him.  As luck would have it, the wedding I had scheduled on their wedding date cancelled so I was able to share on their amazing day.  And AMAZING it was.

The wedding was in San Antonio and it was beautifully decorated by the fine folk at Mandap Creations.  Anyway, here are some of my images.  For the rest, visit Humza’s site where he’s got the “really good stuff” - LOL.

So…enough talking.  Here are the images.

I had a great time working with Malisha, Bhavesh, and their family and friends.  They were an amazing couple who had a wonderful wedding day.  I wish them the very best.

Oh, it was great to see them you guys at Karishma and Samir’s wedding this past week!

Sri and Sumeet - The Wedding

Indian Weddings, Weddings No Comments »

The day came for Sri and Sumeet to get married and I must say it was a perfect day.  It all took place at the beautiful Sugar Land Marriott Town Square where Nalini and her crew from Decor to Remember did a fantastic job in turning the beautiful into extraordinary.

The events started on Friday evening.

Then the main event on Saturday.  Sri got ready.

Sumeet enjoyed his baraat.

Then the wedding ceremony got started.  The beautiful mandap created by Decor to Remember.

After the ceremony, we had some time for some great portraits.  Sri and Sumeet looked GREAT together!

Then it was on to the reception.  The ballroom looked AMAZING!  This is a combination of about six photographs “stitched” together to create a panoramic view.

Now, some of the beautiful flowers and settings.

Sri and Sumeet made their way into the ballroom and enjoyed the first dance together.

Did I mention the beautiful (and delicious) cakes?

The program included some dances and very moving speaches.

As well as a game in which the newlyweds had to answer who was most likely question!

Then the real party got started…

Sri, Sumeet, you two have been absolutely wonderful to work with.  I wish you both continued success and the very best.

Shivani and Amit (AJ) - The Wedding

Wow…what a series of events.  Three days worth of emotion - and beauty.  It all started with Shivani having some beautiful henna done by The Henna Company

The next day, it was a wonderful family party with great music - which everyone enjoyed and danced to.

The third day held the main festivities - and I’ve got to say that it was all beautify and again emotional.  Shena from Desi-gn did a great job coordinating and with the decoration and made the Intercontinental Hotel look fantastic.  Oh, the hotel staff did a fantastic job also!

May I say that this was a GORGEOUS mandap?  Well, I’ll say it.

Shivani got ready and she looked incredible.

Of course, Amit had to put on the finishing touches before heading out into the heat (did I mention it was HOT?) for the baraat.

Shivani’s mother became very emotional as Amit approached.

Then it was inside for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we did some portraits and then on to the reception.

Gita and Sheilen - The Wedding

You may remember Gita and Sheilen from their awesome engagement session…well, this is their wedding!

What an amazing day - and what a great attitude.  Gita and Sheilen were about the most laid back bride and groom I’ve had the pleasure to work with.  Not that they had anything to be uptight about as everything went off perfectly, but they were so absolutely mellow.  You know they enjoyed their day - and so did their family and friends.

So, here is their day in photographs.

I hope you two had a great honeymoon!  I wish you the very best!

Sheetal and Hamenth - The Engagement Party

Indian Weddings, Weddings No Comments »

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Sheetal and Hamenth’s engagement party in Beuamont, TX.  They will be getting married in late May in Detroit but had a party here for all the friends and family to enjoy their union.

I will let the images tell the story.  Oh, you may also notice that I am abandoning the border on the images for the blog.  This gives me a bit larger images to post!

It all took place at the Holiday Inn in Beaumont - with the cocktail hour in the atrium with magnificent flags hanging overhead.

The event was decorated by Decor to Remember - who always do a terrific job.

After the ceremony, the program started.

Entertainment was provided by the incredible Michael Blanco and Jessica Cubeli of The Rhythm of Magic.   Michael and Jessica are national competitive ballroom dancers and combined the beauty of their dancing with some great magic for everyone’s enjoyment.

There were several dances by friends and family.

Sheetal and Hemanth enjoyed their first dance of the evening and were proptly joined by their guests for a night of dancing.

Thank you Sheetal and Hamenth for the opportunity to work with you.  I wish you two the very best.
