Melissa and Peter - The Wedding
Weddings No Comments »I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa and Peter’s wedding recently and it was a lot of fun. Let’s start with the trolley that the guys used to get to the church - and later transported the bridal party to the reception. That was an absolute party on wheels!
The dancing was incredible and everyone just seemed to have such a good time. As for me, it felt great to talk with one of the guests about photography and learn what she did for a living. Turns out she works for the Make a Wish Foundation and one of her wishes is to be a photographer. So, I handed over one of my cameras, lens, and flashes to her and let her take some photos. Her fiance was ecstatic - and so was she.
Here are some of the images from the wedding.
Melissa, Peter, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share in your wonderful day. Amy, thank you for letting me make your wish come true - even if for just a little while.
NYNY
Chit-chat, Personal Work No Comments »So, it had been well over a decade since I last set foot in New York City. I did - back in November of last year! Yep, you read that right - November. It’s just been crazy busy and I had not gotten around to posting this.
NYC is a much nicer city than it was when I was growing up - but it’s still the same!
There’s no place like it in the world - and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to visit a lot of large cities, among them London, Berlin, Hong Kong, Beinjing, Shanghai, Taipei, Sydney, Vienna, Munich, Amsterdam, and many others. While they’re all unique and wonderful in their own way, nothing can compare to the “Capital of the World”: NYC.
So, during the short visit, I shot some stuff. I wanted to get an edgy and gritty street feel to these. Enjoy.
Of course, one must visit the “Ground Zero” site - the place where the World Trade Center once stood.
And there’s no way you can go to NYC and not go to Times Square and walk the surrounding areas.
Now, remember, this was back in November - the stores had the Christmas stuff out. I just loved this image.
…and the historic Empire State Building.
The day started out with some rain - just enough to get me to buy an umbrella which was used for about two blocks. It then stopped raining and the sun came out - and I wound up walking around with just a t-shirt on as it warmed up nicely.
It’s a great city and part of a day is just not enough to do it justice.
Madhavi and Jason - The Engagement
Engagement Sessions 2 Comments »What an absolutely gorgeous day we had for Madhavi and Jason’s engagement session. The weather was perfect, the light was to die for, and they were great. Oh, yeah, their dog Rocky was fun too! She actually listened - even to me!
Here are some of my favorites.
Guys - I can’t wait for your wedding. It’ll soon be here and I know it’s going to be great!
